Romane still loves gymnastics and takes every opportunity to practise !

We are still...planning more travels ! Posted by Picasa

South Island - Tasman National Park

This is as good as New Zealand gets : a dream of a coestline track. You walk in a lush forest and you see..

This coastline.... on the sides are the beautiful New Zealand ferns, that get as huge as trees. They are extremely graceful.

Noe this is the day we cought 3 salmons in 10 minutes ! Needless to say we loved the experience!

You get to a Salmon farm and fish in a pond full to the brim with salmons. Then, you have it smoked an hour after it's been fished, it's in you stomach, amazing ! Note, we had a special coach for the occasion, which is why we did so well ! 2nd note : Thomas, having a strong faith in his sister, is ready to catch "the beast !" in his net !

There are few crowded places in NZ, and wherever you stop, you have lots of SPACE !!!! Stephane is struggling a bit after the traditional "apero" to cathch up with his father in law in daughters on a beach at "Farewell Spit", north of the south Island ! Posted by Picasa

New Zeland, here we go !

New Zealand was, first and foremost, the opportunity to meet the good friends from London again. When Libby talked about a little "beach hideway" where we could meet, I did not suspect this sort of beach !

To all those who say " it's too far " well, maybe you want to think twice about that , because, it's true nature is unpoilt here and is beautiful almost everywhere !

The happy get together lot ! The chhildren were also very happy to meet at the other end of the world. It's hard to undo the St Paul's friendship that have been baptised in the daily schoolruns !

We also had the great joy of meeting with the Magne parents. It's difficult to decribe the joy of the children meeting their grand parents, it's like they were home again !

Together we first visited a funny geyser, here just behind us. Funny because, by extraordinary, it shoots up everyday at exactly 10:15 ... so practical for the tourists !!!!! ( no joke, I the new zealanders ar happy to help nature's punctuality !) In fact, 10 mn before this picture, the place was as srowded as picadilly circus, then they all go !

The lovely green colour of this lake is due to its high content of Arsenic...it's deadly !Posted by Picasa
